Our experience is that many time buys will get this product open a box and the the character / defects and have a knee jerk reaction, however once installed really love the modern rustic feel. This is a price point product, please do not buy extra to turn into a "first quality product". Samples can not show everything in a box. Consider buying a box first, watch the videos and be true to yourself about the price point and floor you are looking for.
